WHO WE ARE Interior & exterior residential painting specialists
We are a locally owned, residential only, Seattle based painting company that was founded in 2001. The company is currently managed by Ryan Barr (estimating/general management) and David Koewler (operations). About half of the time, we are working with homeowners on interior and exterior repainting projects and the other half we are working with contractors to perform the painting aspects of mid-to-large scale remodels. We typically have 8 – 10 full-time employees. We used to be a much larger company (over 40 painters!), but intentionally scaled back to a size we felt was more sustainable. We pride ourselves on providing excellent communication and good overall experiences for our customers.

Most of our business these days comes from repeat and referral work from past customers. However, we are happy to take on new clients if we are a good fit for the project. A good general description of a typical home we work on would be a stand-alone, primary residence, where the homeowner isn’t preparing to sell soon. We paint the outside of all types of homes, which includes everything from old NW Craftsman’s to modern-minimalist new construction. We perform all aspects of the project including general surface preparation (washing, masking, scraping, caulking priming, and minor rot repair) and paint application, but we don’t perform restoration work such as stripping. We typically paint outside from March/April – September/October to ensure appropriate weather conditions. We primarily use ladders for accessing heights which is sufficient for almost all homes, but occasionally we may need to turn down a project that requires a lift or scaffolding or has other access challenges.
Interior Painting
We can paint inside all-year round and are happy to work with customers while they are living in their homes. We will perform general surface preparation to ensure adequate paint adhesion and protect surfaces that we don’t want to get paint on. We will perform minor drywall repairs but would want to refer to a drywall contractor for any major repairs, skim-coating, or texturing needs. Besides walls, ceilings, and trim, we also specialize in painting kitchen cabinets!
